I looked at this interesting Scratch project.
It uses very beautiful backgrounds, and I’m impressed by the hit detection for the “floors”. I think there are problems with using an art style like this for a platforming game, but dying is also extremely generous in this game. Admittedly, I still find Scratch to be a fairly limited software, but I can see how it can be very useful to teach children how to code.
For my own Scratch assignment, I wanted to share my love of dinosaurs from my early life. As I was looking through the Scratch projects on the website, I stumbled upon several dinosaur projects. This seemed like a great option for me since I was a dinosaur fanatic as a child. I included a number of art assets included with Scratch, but I couldn’t find an ocean graphic that fit with the aesthetic of the included assets. I decided to make a quick ocean scene in Illustrator for my ocean scene.
My own attempt can be found here.
